The New world started being built off of mans desires and want for power. When the English Men came to the Americas, they quickly wanted to take over the land they believed was meant for them. Almost everyone on the crew were looking to be rich. They wanted gold and were willing to kill the Natives for it. The New World did not have much but they did include fertile soil and an easy outlet to import and export goods. They call it the Age of Exploration and the want for adventure amongst the people. Christopher Columbus and the English men let their desire take over them making them turn into people they might not have liked.

Columbus
New World; Old World
The Arabs knew there was land beyond the England World so Christopher Columbus went on to pursue finding it. The journey that was established took them to a world they knew nothing of. Coming from England, they wanted to establish their laws and regulations. What they did not see coming was the Native Americans that already lived on the land. The Voyage in 1492 sets out the beginning of an awakening world. The wars and negotiation needed to make a balanced world did not seem to work. The English people turned out to have killed most of those in the land. Trying to make a New world in an already stable land, might have been the best worst thing created.

Distant Mirror 1
Old World
This picture depicts the Old world with the continents being together as one. This reflects the unity that the world used to have. By having all the continents together the people within the continent were not that far apart making it easier to be similar. The animals were also united and there is a bigger chance of peace. The New world started to evolve making most continents far from each other, building a barrier of people. The skin tones of people help shape differences. The languages made help make a difference in people, and the climates around the world make a difference in the unity of people.
